A joint airlift exercise, ‘Op Hercules’ was undertaken by the Indian Air Force and Indian Army on 15 November 2021. The aim of this high intensity airlift was to strengthen the logistics supply in the Northern sector and to augment winter stocking in the operational areas.
International commercial passenger flights have begun landing in India from November 15 after the long prohibition due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over the first of the Light Combat Helicopters to the Indian Air Force in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi during the ‘Jhansi Jalsa’ event on November 19, Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar informed on Monday.
The order for the HAMMER (Highly Agile Modular Munition Extended Range) missiles from France for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas was placed under the emergency procurement powers as was done for the same missiles to be equipped on the Rafales. The release of quick estimates of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) for the month of September 2021 shows a sustained increase in industrial production. The IIP, in FY 2021-22, has grown from an average of 121.3 in Q1 to 130.2 in Q2. The IIP in Q2 would have been still higher but for heavy monsoons disrupting mining activity, especially coal and consequently electricity generation, that repressed the growth of overall production index.
