Cabinet Approves MoU Between India and Italian Republic on Cooperation in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was apprised about the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of the Republic of India and the Department of Civil Protection of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic on Cooperation in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.

Indian Navy Holds Exercises in the Red Sea, Not Far from the Suez Canal

INS Tabar is on an overseas deployment to Europe and Africa. Apart from Sudan, it has also conducted naval exercises with the Egyptian navy in the Mediterranean. Egypt and Sudan are important players in the geopolitics of the Red Sea and due to their proximity with the Suez Canal, are located along one of the most important maritime routes. Therefore, both of these exercises are of significant strategic import and point towards the expanding maritime horizons of the Indian navy.

IIT Delhi to Start Bachelor of Design from Next Session

Indian Military Contingent Participates in the 6th Edition of Exercise SCO Peaceful Mission 2021 at Orenburg, Russia

Joint Counter Terrorism Exercise PEACEFUL MISSION  is a Multilateral Exercise, which is conducted biennially as part of military diplomacy between Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states. The 6th edition of Exercise PEACEFUL MISSION is being hosted by Russia in the Orenburg Region of South West Russia from 13 to 25 September 2021. The aim of the exercise is to foster close relations between SCO member states and to enhance abilities of the military leaders to command multi-national military contingents. 

India’s Retail Inflation Eases to Four-Month Low of 5.3% in August

Retail inflation fell to a four-month low of 5.3% in August, down from 5.59% the previous month, thanks to lower food costs and a large base impact. According to statistics provided by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, inflation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) stayed within the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) tolerance zone for the second month in a row.
