Number of LPG Customers in the Country has Increased to 29.11 Crore

Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Mr. Rameswar Teli today informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply that the LPG customers, who have joined the PAHAL Scheme, are cash transfer compliant. As on 01.07.2021, out of total 29.11 crore LPG customers, 27.27 crore have joined the Scheme and they are Cash Transfer Compliant (CTC). State/UT-wise details are at Annexure-I.

Qatari Amiri Naval Forces and Indian Navy Conduct Maritime Exercise

Indian navy Guided Missile Stealth Frigate INS Trikand arrived at Doha for the 2nd edition of the Bilateral Maritime Exercise Za’ir Al Bahr (Roar of the Sea), being conducted from August 9 to 14, 2021 between the Indian Navy and Qatar Amiri Naval Forces. The Ship was received by the representatives from the Qatar Amiri Navy with ceremonial band in presence.

Dhanush to be Powered by Metal from Midhani

The ministry of defence (MoD) plans to equip the Indian Army with 114 ‘Dhanush’ guns. Each ‘Dhanush’ costs Rs 14.50 crore. After initial field trials in 2016, six of these towed artillery guns were handed to the Army in 2019 at the Gun Carriage Factory in Jabalpur. But subsequently the Army sought modifications which are now being carried out by the Ordnance Factory Board (OFB).
