Indian Scientists Develop Efficient And Durable Solar Cells By Tuning The Length And Porosity Of Nanorods

Scientists led by Dr. V. Ganapathy from International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials, an autonomous institute of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, have increased the efficiency and stability of Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanorods based Perovskite Solar Cells (PSC) by varying the length and porosity of the TiO2-Nanorods.

India and Russia Agree to Deepen Cooperation at the UN Security Council

India and Russia agreed to increase cooperation at the United Nations Security Council on Monday following extensive talks on issues facing the global body. In February, Russia is set to assume the presidency of the UN Security Council.  According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the two parties undertook bilateral talks on UN-related matters at a meeting in Delhi.

India’s Smartphone Market Logs $38 Billion Revenue, 11% Shipment Growth in 2021

According to Counterpoint Research, India’s smartphone shipments increased 11% year over year to 169 million units, with market revenue exceeding USD 38 billion in 2021.  India’s smartphone market revenue would surpass USD 38 billion in 2021, representing a 27% Y0Y increase. Despite an 8% YoY dip in the December quarter data due to supply challenges afflicting the smartphone manufacturing ecosystem, shipments rose 11% YoY in 2021 to reach 169 million devices.

Second BrahMos Order from Philippines in the Pipeline

While Philippines signed a $375 million deal for BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles last week to be operated by the Philippines Marines, there is another long pending deal under discussion for BrahMos missiles for the Philippines Army, which could see progress in the near future, according to defence and diplomatic sources.
