First Nasal Vaccine Developed by Bharat Biotech supported by DBT-BIRAC Gets Nod of Regulator for Phase 2 Trial

Bharat Biotech’s intranasal vaccine is the first nasal vaccine that has received the regulatory approval for Phase 2 trials. This is the first of its kind COVID-19 jab to undergo human clinical trials in India. BBV154 is an intranasal replication-deficient chimpanzee adenovirus SARS-CoV-2 vectored vaccine. BBIL has in-licensed technology from Washington University in St Louis, USA. 

APEDA in Collaboration with HPMC Exports Five Unique Varieties of Apples to Bahrain

In continuance with its thrust on promoting agricultural and processed food products exports to newer destinations, APEDA collaboration with Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation Ltd (HPMC) today exported first consignment consisting of five unique varieties of apples – Royal Delicious, Dark Baron Gala, Scarlet Spur, Red Velox & Golden Delicious to Bahrain.

Chandrayaan-2 Detects Presence of Water Molecules on Moon

According to data acquired from the expedition, Chandrayaan-2, ISRO’s second lunar mission, has identified the existence of water molecules on the moon. The imaging infrared spectrometre (IIRS) is one of the payloads on-board Chandrayaan-2, which is put in a 100 km polar orbit to gather worldwide scientific data, according to a study co-authored by Mr. A S Kirankumar, former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman.

Godrej & Boyce Partners with Indian Railways to Develop Universal Coach Assembly Station

Godrej & Boyce has announced that its business Godrej Tooling has partnered with the Indian Railways to design and develop the universal coach assembly station as an indigenous solution for coach assembly fabrication in the brand new Marathwada Railcoach Factory in Latur, Maharashtra. The station has cut the time it takes to assemble a coach from 24 hours to 12 hours.

Raksha Mantri Mr. Rajnath Singh Flags-in Climb-a-thon Organised as Part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’

Raksha Mantri Mr. Rajnath Singh flagged-in a climb-a-thon organised by Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), Darjeeling to celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, in New Delhi on August 17, 2021. The climb-a-thon was organised at four smaller peaks of Sikkim Himalayas from April 20-25, 2021. The climb-a-thon, under the leadership of Group Captain Jai Kishan, was conducted at Mt Rhenock, Mt Frey, Mt BC Roy and Mt Palung, by a team of 125 mountaineers.
