BDL Begins Localised Production of 5th-Generation Spike LR2 Missile in India

The latest milestone follows several years of cooperation between BDL and Rafael. At Aero India 2025, the companies advanced plans for a Technical Collaboration Agreement covering Indian manufacture of the Spike LR2. Rafael said at the time that the arrangement was intended to transfer manufacturing capabilities and critical technologies to BDL while meeting India’s indigenous-content requirements under the Make in India initiative.

Munitions India and Drogo Aerospace Partner on Long-Range Indigenous Loitering Munition

The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Pune on September 4, 2026, bringing together Drogo Aerospace’s unmanned-aircraft engineering capabilities and MIL’s experience in ammunition, explosives and warhead technology. The agreement was signed by Yashwanth Bonthu, Founder and CEO of Drogo Aerospace, and Kumar Vaibhav Gaur, Executive Director of Munitions India.

DRDO Invites Bids to Develop Indigenous Air-to-Air Refuelling Pod for Indian Air Force

The open tender was published on September 2, 2026, under the title Development of Air To Air Refuelling Pod. Bid submissions are scheduled to begin on September 25 and close on October 20, 2026, with technical and financial bids subsequently evaluated under the TDF process. The development contract is structured on a turnkey basis with a planned duration of 1,095 days, or approximately three years.

Armanetics says the system has undergone months of development and field testing before the recent Army demonstration.
