The export order to France is valued at around Rs 50 crore.Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) has secured a contract to supply 12,000 tonne of special grade rail blooms to France Rail Hayange.
Britain and France have also evinced interest in JSPL’s products, and are expected to place orders soon.

Apart from this, JSPL is the only private-sector company that manufactures head hardened rails. It has also bagged 2,308 tonne supply order from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) for development of the Kolkata Metro Corporation. The company will start the supply from April 2020.
After the Rail Freight Corridor and increasing demands for Metro Rails, JSPL has got a certification from RDSO, and started production of 1,080 head hardened heat-treated grade rails.
