The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, has been ranked the “world’s top research university,” in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World Rankings 2022, an annual publication of university rankings.
India is set to get 8 new Flying Training Academies under the liberalised Flying Training Organisation (FTO) policy of the Airports Authority of India (AAI). These academies will be set up at Belagavi, Jalgaon, Kalaburagi, Khajuraho and Lilabari. The set-up of these 8 FTOs is aimed at making India a global flying training hub and to prevent the exodus of Indian cadets to foreign FTOs. Additionally, these FTOs will also be designed to cater the flying training requirements of cadets in India’s neighbouring countries.
The Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education today launched YUVA- Prime Minister’s Scheme For Mentoring Young Authors, an Author Mentorship programme to train young and budding authors (below 30 years of age) in order to promote reading, writing and book culture in the country, and project India and Indian writings globally.
Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar launched Directorate General National Cadet Corps (NCC) Mobile Training App Version 2.0 in New Delhi on May 28, 2021. The app will assist in conducting countrywide online training to NCC cadets during the COVID-19 pandemic conditions. It is aimed at providing NCC-related basic information and entire training material (Syllabus, Précis, Training Videos, Frequently Asked Questions) on one platform. It provides the NCC cadets easy access to training material and assists in carrying out training during the pandemic.
The Government of India has developed several free e-Learning platforms for the learners across various branches. The aim of free e-Learning platforms is to keep the learning and the teaching system uninterrupted and ongoing. To overcome the prevailing COVID 19 crisis, the Government of India has taken several initiatives through the Ministry of Education and UGC. Not one but many free e-Learning platforms have been developed and launched by the Government of India in due course.
The Course was organised by the National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation and Training (NTIPRIT), the premier training institute of Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. This is a 36-hour (12 week) Course to train and certify Officers in Network Security and is the first of its kind. While the Course is presently for DoT Officers, it is proposed to be expanded to cover other Officers of the Government and gradually those in the Private Sector also..
“JEE Mains has been made obligatory for TES-46 course”, the Indian army said in an official notice. The online applications for TES-46 will open at joinindianarmy.nic.in by July-August. To be selected candidates have to clear a selection interview followed by a medical exam.

Almost a year after it launched “Introduction to Indian Heritage”, Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI) is coming back with the fourth edition of the course, scheduled to start on 19 April.
