Mathematical Model to Predict COVID-19 Vaccine Efficacy

A team of researchers at the Bengaluru-based Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) in Australia have addressed this question by developing a mathematical model that predicts how antibodies generated by COVID-19 vaccines confer protection against symptomatic infections. The team has published a report of their study in Nature Computational Science.

Scientists Develop New Technology Platform to Detect SARS-CoV-2 by Fluorescence Readout

A team of scientists has developed a new technology, platform for fluorometric detection of pathogens such as viruses by measurement of fluorescent light emitted. The potential of the new technology has been demonstrated for the detection of SARS-CoV-2. This technology platform can also be used to detect other DNA/RNA pathogens such as HIV, influenza, HCV, Zika, Ebola, bacteria, and other mutating/evolving pathogens.

More than 15 Crore National Digital Health IDs Created Under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

On the 15th of August 2020, the National Digital Health Mission (now known as Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission) was launched as a pilot in six Union Territories: Andaman and Nicobar, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry. National Health authority is creating awareness about the advantages of this health ID.
