For root-canal treatment, researchers from IISc and Theranautilus developed tiny helical robots made from silicon dioxide and coated with iron. An externally generated magnetic field can guide the robots through dentinal tubules, microscopic passages inside the tooth where bacteria can remain after conventional treatment.
The engine associated with the upper-stage programme is Pegasus. EtherealX has previously demonstrated test-ready thrust-chamber hardware and has also developed its own turbopump technology. The production engine is being designed around an approximately 80-kN dual-thrust-chamber configuration using the company’s FSCC architecture.
Unveiled on September 3, PRAGYA is described by Pranos as India’s first privately developed compact tokamak. Rather than being designed to generate electricity, the machine will allow the startup to repeatedly create, study and control plasma while developing the magnets, diagnostics, software and engineering systems required for future fusion machines.
The clearest evidence of the new configuration comes from DRDO’s Research Centre Imarat in Hyderabad, which has sought the fabrication of five sets of 370-mm ELRGR rocket-motor systems. The latest milestone follows several years of cooperation between BDL and Rafael.
