Tonbo Imaging — Building India’s Miniature Electro-Optical and Infrared Eyes for the Modern Battlefield

Tonbo describes itself as a defence-electronics OEM specialising in electro-optical/infrared, or EO/IR, technologies, with systems intended for soldiers as well as land, naval, airborne and missile platforms.

DRDO Signs Two Key Naval Defence Technology Pacts for Submarine Decoys and LM2500 Systems

The Visakhapatnam-based Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL) has signed agreements covering a Submarine Fired Decoy (SFD) with defence public sector company Bharat Dynamics Limited and technology linked to the fabrication, installation and commissioning of LM2500 gas-turbine systems with Hyderabad-based Vertex Engineering Systems Pvt. Ltd. DRDO confirmed the agreements through an official announcement.

HAL Eyes Early Tejas Mk2 Limited-Series Production to Run Alongside Flight-Test Programme

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is examining a concurrent-production approach for the Tejas Mk2 that could allow a small number of pre-series fighters to enter manufacture before the aircraft completes its entire certification campaign. The strategy could help India compress the normally lengthy transition between flight testing and full-scale production, although reports of a six-to-eight-aircraft early batch have not yet been formally confirmed by the Indian Air Force or Ministry of Defence.
