CSIR-CMERI Oxygen Enrichment Technology for the MSMEs to Step-in for An Oxygen Sufficient India

An awareness session on Oxygen related technologies was organised through digital platform by MSME – Development Institute, Jaipur in association with CSIR – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur on 04.05.2021. Prof. (Dr.) Harish Hirani, Director, CSIR-CMERI delivered the Chief Speaker’s address in the programme. Mr. Sanjeev Saxena, Additional Director of Industries, Govt. of Rajasthan, Mr. V. K. Sharma, Director, MSME-DI, Jaipur, Dr. Rohit Jain, President, CIDA, and Mr. Mahendra Mishra, General Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharti including100 number of MSEs, entrepreneurs and industrialists participated in the said awareness programme.

Alstom Delivers 100th Locomotive to the Indian Railways – Make in India

Alstom has manufactured and delivered the 100th electric locomotive to Indian Railways despite challenges posed by covid-19, the company said. The delivery is part of the contract worth €3.5 billion (Rs 25,000 crore), signed between the ministry of railways and Alstom in 2015 which led to the creation of a joint venture for the project and the largest foreign direct investment project of the Railways.

Cosmo Foundation Installs New Carbon Compacting Plant in J&K

(UNI) Cosmo Foundation, the social arm of Cosmo Films Ltd, announced the installation of a new carbon compacting plant in the valley of Jammu and Kashmir as a part of its Green Initiatives to support the Indian Army and offset the carbon footprint of increasing non-biodegradable materials generated by the locally stationed troops in the Poonch and Mendhar districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Integrated Solar Dryer and Pyrolysis Pilot Plant will Help Smart Cities Transform Urban Organic Waste into Biochar & Energy

The project focuses on managing and organising collection, treatment, and disposal systems of urban wastes in Indian Smart Cities as well as in other urban centres with an integrated and interactive approach. Through this Pyrasol project, simple and robust processing technologies for urban organic waste will be combined in a synergetic manner and further developed to improve sanitation and welfare, supply regenerative energy, convert waste into products and reduce the carbon footprint of smart cities by an innovative organic waste drying system using the solar natural chimney effect followed by a high efficient single-chamber pyrolysis.
