The new uniform will be of digital pattern like the troopers of the US Army use. “The camouflage of the changed uniform is better than its previous one,” said a senior Indian Army official.

BDL said here on Thursday. After the Refurbishment, a fresh lease of life will be given to the missile for a period of ten years. The value of the contract is Rs 471.41 Crore which was signed on Wednesday in New Delhi, BDL said in a release.

FS Chevalier Paul departed Kochi harbour on 30 Nov 21 after completing a twelve day long extensive engagement with the Indian Navy. As part of the interaction the ship undertook Port Calls at two Indian ports Mumbai and Kochi and undertook a Maritime Partnership Exercise with Indian Naval Ship Kolkata in the Arabian Sea from 22 to 23 Nov 21. The exercise also involved participation of a Maritime Patrol Aircraft and MiG 29K Fighter aircraft from the Indian side.

“The ICG has concluded a contract for procurement of 16 advanced light helicopters (ALH) Mk-III from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bengaluru, which in consonance with Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan,” the spokesperson said. Out of the 16 ALH ordered, six have already been inducted into the ICG, the spokesperson noted.

Admiral R Hari Kumar on Tuesday took over as India’s new navy chief, replacing Admiral Karambir Singh who has retired. The 59-year-old officer was commissioned into the executive branch of navy in January 1983 and was heading Mumbai-based Western Naval Command before his elevation.

The LUH is designed and developed as a replacement for ageing fleets of Cheetah and Chetak helicopters currently being flown by Indian armed forces. The indigenously-developed LUH is a new generation helicopter in the 3-tonne category that boasts features like a glass cockpit with multi-function displays (MFD) and is powered by a single turboshaft engine.

 CSIR-IIP Dehradun’s home-grown technology to produce bio-jet fuel has beenformally approved for use on military aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The provisional clearance (PC) certificate was handed over by Shri R.Kamalakannan,Group Director(AT&FOL), Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC) to Mr Saleem Akhtar Farooqui, Principal ScientistfromCSIR-IIP in the presence of Group Captain Asheesh Shrivastava and Wing Commander A Sachan of the IAF and Mr R Shanumgavel of CEMILAC.This certification represents India’s growing confidence in aviation biofuel sector and another step towards ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’.
