MBDA Outlines Indian Missile Investment Plan

The ASRAAM was selected by India under a USD250 million contract announced in 2014. Under the deal, the ASRAAM will equip the Indian Air Force’s (IAF’s) upgraded SEPECAT Jaguar fighter aircraft fleet. In service with the IAF, the ASRAAM is known as the New Generation Close Combat Missile (NGCCM).

Indian Army Promotes 5 Women Officers to Colonel Rank First Time Ever

This is the first time that women officers serving with the Corps of Signals, Corps of Electronic and Mechanical Engineers (EME) and the Corps of Engineers have been approved to the rank of Colonel. Previously, promotion to the rank of Colonel was only applicable for women officers in the Army Medical Corps (AMC), Judge Advocate General (JAG) and the Army Education Corps (AEC).

We are also displaying the Akash missile also. Carbine JVPC is also on display,” said Dr NK Arya, Director, Directorate of Public Interface (DPI) at DRDO.
