India to Conduct First User Trial of Agni-V Missile

India is set to conduct the first user trial of nuke capable intercontinental-range ballistic missile (ICBM) Agni-V signalling its early induction in the armed forces. Elaborate preparation has started at a defence facility off Odisha coast for the mission by the Strategic Forces Command of Indian Army. As per the schedule learnt by TNIE, the 5,000-km range missile is likely to be flight-tested on September 23.

India, US Agree to Collaborate on Emerging Fuels

India and the United States have agreed to develop their energy partnership by improving emerging fuels to the list of areas of cooperation which previously included power and energy efficiency, oil and gas, renewable energy and sustainable growth, an official statement said. This was followed by a ministerial meeting of the US-India Strategic Clean Energy Partnership (SCEP).

Centre Enhances Financial Support to Open Ayush Colleges from INR 9 Crore to INR 70 Crore

The central government has increased the financial support from Rs nine crore to Rs 70 crore to ensure more Ayush colleges are opened across the country, Union Minister for Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, said on Saturday. The Minister was addressing a conference on ‘Diverse and Fulfilling Career Paths in Ayush Systems: Education, Entrepreneurship & Employment Focus on North eastern States’ in Guwahati.
