Medicines to Boost Immunity Against Novel Corona Virus

Continuing its series of activities under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Ministry of Ayush launched a campaign of distributing Ayush prophylactic medicines and written guidelines on diet and lifestyle today at New Delhi. The drive was jointly kick-started by Minister of Ayush and Port, Shipping & Waterways Shri Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister of State for Ayush and Woman and Child Development Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai.

The road was constructed by the 58 Engineer Regiment of the Indian Army and was inaugurated in presence of Lt. Gen. Snow Leopard Declared New State Animal in Ladakh

The government of Ladakh has declared snow leopard its state animal and black-necked crane state bird. A notification in this regard was issued Tuesday by the Principal Secretary Forest, Ecology and Environment, Pawan Kotwal. “The Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Ladakh is pleased to declare snow leopard (Panther unica) and black–necked crane (Grus nicricollis) as state animal and state bird, respectively, of the union rerritory of Ladakh from the date of issue of this notification,” Kotwal said in a notification.

First Time in 35 Years, Kargil’s Fresh Apricots Go Global

The export of fresh apricots from Kargil district to international as well as domestic markets was banned by the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir government in 1986 under the “flimsy pretext” of stopping the spread of codling moth, said Khan. As the ban is still in force, the startup took special permission from the Government of India to export it outside the district, he added.

India to Take Part in 17- Nation Exercise in Russia

India is all set to take part in the multi-nation military exercise ‘Zapad’ at Nizhniy in Russia from September 3 to 16. Both China and Pakistan are also participating in the 17-nation exercise but as “observers” without actual troops being deployed for the exercise.
