MY Bharat Crosses 3 Crore Youth Registrations in Less Than Three Years

Mera Yuva Bharat, the national youth engagement platform of the Department of Youth Affairs, has crossed three crore registered youth less than three years after its launch, marking a major expansion of the government’s digital ecosystem for youth participation, volunteering, leadership and experiential learning.

Launched on 31 October 2023, MY Bharat was created as a common platform through which young Indians can find opportunities to participate in community initiatives, practical learning programmes, leadership activities and national youth programmes. The platform crossed two crore registrations in October 2025 and had expanded to more than 2.46 crore registered youth by August 2026 before subsequently passing the three-crore milestone.

A National Platform for Youth Participation

MY Bharat was designed to connect young Indians with opportunities beyond conventional classroom education. Through the platform, users can discover experiential learning programmes, volunteering assignments, quizzes, leadership initiatives, youth dialogues and community-based activities.

The platform combines digital access with programmes conducted on the ground, allowing participants to move from online registration to practical involvement with institutions, local communities and government-supported initiatives.

Its rapid expansion also reflects the growing use of digital platforms to coordinate youth programmes that previously operated through multiple institutions and separate administrative channels.

Nearly 25,000 Experiential Learning Programmes

Experiential learning has become one of the important components of the MY Bharat ecosystem. By August 2026, more than 1.22 lakh young people had enrolled in nearly 25,000 Experiential Learning Programmes.

These programmes are intended to provide practical exposure outside the traditional classroom environment. Participants can gain experience through structured activities involving institutions, public programmes and community initiatives while developing organisational, professional and civic skills.

The model seeks to connect formal education with practical experience, allowing young participants to understand how institutions and community programmes function in real-world settings.

AI-Enabled CV Builder Expands Digital Services

MY Bharat has also introduced an AI-enabled CV Builder as part of its expanding digital services. The tool is intended to help young users organise their educational qualifications, skills and experience into a structured professional profile.

The addition represents a gradual expansion of MY Bharat beyond volunteering and youth engagement into areas connected with employability and professional development. Participation in experiential learning and other programmes can therefore become part of a broader record of skills and practical experience.

As the platform expands, digital tools are being combined with grassroots outreach to ensure that youth opportunities are accessible beyond major cities and educational institutions.

Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027

One of the major programmes currently being conducted through MY Bharat is the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027. The initiative provides different pathways through which young Indians can present ideas, demonstrate leadership and contribute proposals connected with India’s development priorities.

The programme includes the Viksit Bharat Quiz, Essay Challenge, District Championships and State and Union Territory-level stages. Selected participants will eventually progress to the National Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue scheduled to be held in New Delhi from 10 to 12 January 2027.

The process is intended to identify young people with ideas and leadership potential and provide them with opportunities to engage at progressively higher levels.

Multiple Tracks for Different Skills and Interests

The 2027 Young Leaders Dialogue includes several additional tracks designed to broaden participation beyond conventional essay and quiz formats.

These include the Cultural Track, Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge and Youth Parliament. Together, they provide opportunities for participants interested in culture, technology, design, entrepreneurship, social innovation and public affairs.

The structure allows young people with different backgrounds and abilities to participate through areas suited to their interests rather than relying on a single competition format.

MY Bharat Becomes a Gateway for National Youth Initiatives

MY Bharat now hosts a wider range of youth-focused programmes, including Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat, the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme, Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, Viksit Bharat Padyatra, Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect and the Khelo India Dialogue.

These initiatives cover areas such as community service, leadership development, sports, social awareness, civic participation and local development. Bringing them together through a common platform is intended to make it easier for young people to discover programmes and participate without navigating several separate systems.

The platform is therefore evolving from a registration portal into a wider digital gateway connecting young Indians with government-supported opportunities across different sectors.

Nasha Mukt Yuva Campaign Mobilises Youth Nationwide

MY Bharat is also supporting the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign, which seeks to mobilise young people around awareness of drug abuse and healthier lifestyles.

The 100-week Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan began in September 2026 with the Rashtriya Sankalp Samaroh. Activities associated with the campaign include pledge-taking, signature campaigns, discussions and creative programmes involving young participants across different parts of the country.

The initiative demonstrates how MY Bharat can be used to coordinate large-scale campaigns while linking digital participation with activities conducted at the local level.

Three Crore Registrations Mark a New Phase

Crossing three crore registrations gives MY Bharat considerable national reach, but the platform’s longer-term importance will depend increasingly on the depth of participation generated through those registrations.

Indicators such as enrolment in experiential learning programmes, participation in volunteering activities, access across districts and the practical outcomes created for young participants will become increasingly important as the platform matures.

With nearly 25,000 experiential learning programmes already available and a growing portfolio of national initiatives being connected through MY Bharat, the platform is developing into a common infrastructure for youth engagement, practical learning, leadership development and community participation across India.
