Colombo, Nov 3 (UNI) Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Northern Development and Hindu Religious Affairs Minister, Mr Douglas Devananda has said that the ‘World Hindu Congress’ will be held in Sri Lanka in May 2019.
After assuming office as the cabinet minister, Mr Devananda participated at the special discussion on the development of ‘Hindu religious and cultural affairs’ with the officials of Department of Hindu religious affairs on Friday.
School textbooks and other books published on Hindu Religious Affairs was another special matter taken at the meeting.
An expert committee was proposed to look into erroneous publications, said Sri Lankan government’s official news portal.
