The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has opened registrations for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2026 session, with the application window running from 21 April 2026 to 11 May 2026. The screening test, meant for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India with foreign medical qualifications seeking registration to practise in India, will be held on 28 June 2026 in computer-based mode.
According to the official information bulletin, candidates can submit applications online until 11:55 pm on 11 May. NBEMS has scheduled the edit window from 16 to 18 May, while the final opportunity to correct deficient images and documents runs up to 10 June for images and 16 June for required certificates. The exam city intimation slip is due on 17 June, admit cards will be issued on 24 June, and the result is to be declared by 28 July 2026.
The eligibility rules remain strict. The bulletin says candidates must have passed the final examination for their primary medical qualification, such as MBBS or an equivalent degree, on or before 30 April 2026, and they must provide documentary proof while applying. It also states that foreign medical degrees must be either attested by the Embassy of India or apostilled by the competent authority of the country concerned, in line with Hague Convention requirements.
NBEMS has also underlined that applicants must carefully follow the document and certification requirements, as failure to establish eligibility by the prescribed cutoff can lead to cancellation of candidature. The June session is part of the regular FMGE cycle conducted for foreign medical graduates who need to qualify the screening exam before moving toward registration in India.
