There are many mysterious and amazing things in the world, whose secrets have not been understood till now. One of such mysterious thing of the past is the oldest stone present in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu.
It stands on an approximately 1.2-meter base on a slope and is said to have been at the same place for 1200 years. Visitors are astonished to see this stone weighing around 250 tons and are left wondering what a miracle it is after all. This stone is also known as Krishna’s Gigantic Butterball.
It is believed that Lord Krishna in his childhood days mistakenly left little butter on this place, which has now taken the form of a huge stone. This stone was first discovered in the year 1908. An attempt was made and seven elephants were used to move the stone from its position, but to no success.
Whether the stone is placed by a human being person or by nature is still a mystery till date. The secret for this is remains unsolved. It is a popular tourist attraction in the city and is listed as a historical monument by the Archeological Survey of India.
