India’s Engineering Exports Rise 20.7% to $11.48 Billion in June 2026

The performance reflected sustained overseas demand for Indian machinery, transport equipment, metals, electrical products and other manufactured goods. Engineering exports remained above the $10-billion mark for the third consecutive month, underlining the sector’s resilience despite continuing pressure on shipping routes, freight rates, insurance costs and global supply chains.

Nearly 17,000 MSMEs Power India’s Expanding Defence Manufacturing Ecosystem

Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth highlighted the contribution of MSMEs, start-ups and private companies in developing indigenous defence equipment, components and technologies. These enterprises increasingly support major defence manufacturers and public-sector undertakings by supplying precision components, electronics, materials, software, subsystems and maintenance services.

India’s Exports Reach Record $863.1 Billion in FY 2025–26

The latest government figures place merchandise exports at approximately $442 billion, while services exports contributed around $421 billion. Services remained one of the principal engines of export growth, supported by information technology, business services, financial services, professional consulting, communications and other digitally delivered services.
