Tata Projects will be responsible for civil and structural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, high-air-pressure systems, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, high-temperature exhaust systems, cooling-water systems and associated site infrastructure.

The seven companies — Munitions India Limited, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited, Troop Comforts Limited, Yantra India Limited, India Optel Limited and Gliders India Limited — were created in October 2021 to bring greater accountability, operational flexibility and commercial discipline to the former ordnance factory network.
