Isro Finally Opens Door For People To Watch Rocket Launches

Monday’s liftoff of PSLV-C45 carrying a DRDO payload Emisat and 28 foreign satellites will be the first such launch which spectators can witness at the space agency’s island, which is over 100km north of Chennai. The agency’s move to open its high-security launch facility for people for free is on the lines of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa), which too allows people in the US to watch its space activities, including rocket launches.

Eyeing Southeast Asia, India Builds Port In Indonesia

The Sabang port is being developed in partnership with neighbour and strategic partner Indonesia. An Indian Coast Guard Ship Vijit, is currently on a visit to Sabang, Indonesia, from March 17-20. The deep sea portwill give India wide access to Southeast Asia as a counter-balancing force. The port will be a key element in India’s Indo-Pacific strategy, persons familiar with the project told ET.

India With Myanmar Soldiers Averted A Terrorist Attack On Myanmar Port – Kaladan Project

Highly placed official sources told The Assam Tribune here that the coordinated operation by the armed forces of India and Myanmar was launched on February 17 after days of preparations and the operation was completed by wiping out the camps of the insurgents on March 2 to avert a possible threat to the Kaladan project and the Indian workers working in Myanmar for the implementation of the project.
