Gujarat centre would be Dassault Systemes’ third such venture in the country after setting up CoEs in Hyderabad and Bangalore. The proposed CoE is expected to come up either at GTU’s existing campus in Chandkheda or their new university campus at Lekawada near Gandhinagar that is being built in a sprawling 200 acres area, sources said.
Nikita Mazein, vice-president of Rusatom Overseas (a division of Rosatom), said, “Rosatom is developing small and medium-sized solutions based on light water reactor unit of Russian design.” There is a need to explore the possibility of such projects in the coastal areas of South Asia as this nuclear energy segment provides an opportunity for boosting Indo-Russia nuclear cooperation, he said.

Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt Nirmala Sitharaman today unveiled two new IT initiatives – ICEDASH and ATITHI – for improved monitoring and pace of Customs clearance of imported goods and facilitating arriving international passengers by electronic filing of Customs baggage and currency declarations. Minister of State, Finance and Corporate Affairs Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Secretary (Revenue), senior officials of CBIC and members of trade and industry were present.

“Around 1200 works of making bunkers have been completed. Around 1000 bunkers are at other stages of construction. A total of 3131 bunkers are being constructed in the region,” DDC Rajouri Mohammed Aijaz Asad said.
The four-deck transport structure will be the first of its kind. Elsewhere, including in Nagpur, three-deck structures have been constructed. Here, the first level is the Kamptee Road, second is Nagpur-Bhopal railway line, third is the flyover, and fourth is the Metro viaduct.
NHSRCL, the implementing agency for India’s first HSR project, has decided to start construction work on the green zone (cleared land) by April 2020, with the tendering process having been initiated. Says Achal Khare, managing director of NHSRCL, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up by the Ministry of Railways and Gujarat and Maharashtra governments, “Pre-construction activity is in full swing. Shifting of utilities like cables, oil wells and other structures, apart from 25,000 trees, enroute the project corridor has been taken up on war-footing.”
Speaking at NIOT’s silver jubliee celebrations here, Naidu said that he has been informed that NIOT is working towards developing a deep-sea mining system and other technologies for harnessing resources from the ocean to meet India’s growing mineral needs and increase self-sufficiency in the near future.
