As the United Kingdom’s Carrier Strike Group (CSG) gets ready for one of the biggest joint exercises – Konkan Shakti – with Indian armed forces, its biggest aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth has an added task- it aims to strengthen military as well as cultural ties with India with an intent to ‘demonstrate that democracies that have similar views of the world want to work together to keep peace and stability.’

Amid the ongoing border dispute with China, the Indian Army has made integrated defence locations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh as the Chinese People’s Liberation Army has enhanced military exercises across it. These integrated defence locations is a mechanism in itself at various places across the LAC. It comprises complete communication, surveillance, operations and logistics system.

RakshaMantri ShriRajnath Singh launched Web Based Project Monitoring Portal (WBPMP)for Military EngineerServices (MES) at New Delhi on 20th October 2021. The portal conceptualized in accordance with the Digital India Mission of the Union Government, has beendevelopedby Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-G).

This is the third aircraft to be delivered under an option contract for four additional aircraft that the Indian Ministry of Defence awarded in 2016. The Indian Navy was the first international customer for the P-8 and today operates the largest non-U.S. fleet. The P-8 is also operated by the U.S. Navy, the Royal Australian Air Force and the United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force.

The air forces of Germany, Italy, Britain, France, India, Greece and the US sent teams, with a historic first deployment of a British fighter squadron in Israel since the establishment of the country, as well as the first-ever deployment of an Indian “Mirage” fighter squadron in Israel, and the first deployment of a French “Rafale” fighter squadron in Israel.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) flew 14 Tejas aircraft in formation for the first time on Friday. The fighter jets took off from the Indian Air Force Station in Sulur near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

IAF chief Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari on Saturday visited Ladakh to review the operational situation and interact with personnel, amidst China’s obdurate stand in resolving the 17-month long military confrontation in the high-altitude region.
