Auto Component Sector On Road To Reach $100 Billion Export Target By 2030: Shri Piyush Goyal

Shri Goyal said that as India is progressing to become the third largest economy in the world in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the auto sector must also strive to become the world leader from currently being the third largest auto market in the world. He urged the industry leaders to set a roadmap to achieve the target. Shri Goyal stressed on combining organic growth with outreach across the world along with technological improvements.

India to Host 2nd Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation

The 2nd Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation is scheduled to be held from 11th to 12th September 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, India. The event is co-hosted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. The first Ministerial Conference of the Asia Pacific region was organized in 2018 in Beijing, China. During the first conference, India volunteered to host the second Conference in 2020 however due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the conference was postponed.

BRICS Employment Working Group Meeting 2024 Convened in Sochi, Russia

The second and final Employment Working Group (EWG) Meeting under Russian Presidency was held in Sochi, Russia. The Indian delegation led by Dr. Mahendra Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment participated in the deliberations of draft Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting declaration which will be adopted during Labour and Employment Ministers’ meeting scheduled to be held on 9-10 September 2024.

WorldSkills 2024: 60-Member Contingent of Team India Reaches Lyon, France

These skilled individuals will compete across 52 skill categories for India against the best from over 70 countries. The international competition is set to commence from September 10-15, 2024, at Euroexpo Lyon France, which will witness over 1,400 competitors and 1,300 experts. This grand event, often considered the Olympic Games of skilling, is expected to attract over 2.5 lakh participants.
