Nissan manufactures the SUV at its Chennai production facility under what it calls its “One Car. One World” strategy. The approach is intended to produce vehicles in India to a common global standard, allowing the same basic product to serve domestic customers while also being exported to international markets.

The project will upgrade 31.02 kilometres of the Bagdogra–Panitanki–Kharibari–Galgalia section of National Highway 327, improving one of the important road links connecting northern West Bengal with Bihar and routes leading toward Northeast India. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced the approval on September 3, 2026.
Thoothukudi’s salt pans are more than industrial landscapes. Their shallow saline waters can provide productive feeding and resting habitat for waterbirds. The combination of open water, exposed mud, microorganisms and other aquatic food resources creates conditions that attract flamingos and numerous smaller migratory species during their seasonal movements.
The current platform combines the electric motor with an eight-forward and four-reverse multi-speed transmission, differential, final drive, driven rear axle, motor controller and CAN-based vehicle-control interfaces. Mecwin can modify several elements, including the final-drive ratio, packaging, software calibration and interfaces for the tractor’s power take-off and hydraulic systems.
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways currently lists 12 operational Major Ports under the administrative control of the Government of India: Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Paradip, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Kamarajar, V.O. Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed the programme at The Energy and Resources Institute’s Gwal Pahari campus in Gurugram on September 3, where government agencies, research institutions and major ports presented progress on alternative-fuel infrastructure and maritime decarbonisation.
The milestone was achieved on August 29, 2026, when crude stored aboard the Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel serving Cluster-7 was transferred to the Shipping Corporation of India’s MT Swarna Brahmaputra. The cargo was destined for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s Mumbai refinery.
