New Delhi | Prime Minister Narendra Modi focusing on the topic of national security has formed a new high level ministerial panel on security.
According to sources, the new Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will include Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
Doval was earlier given a 5-year extension with a cabinet rank after the swearing-in of the new Narendra Modi governemnt. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also formed two more cabinet committees focusing on Jobs and Economic growth.
As reported in News18, PM Modi has formed a 5 member cabinet committee under his leadership on investment and growth which includes Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Railway and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Minister of MSME Nitin Gadkari.
Another 10 member ministerial panel is also formed focusing on employment and skill development which comprises of Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Skill and Entrepreneurship Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey and Minister of State for Labour & Employment Santosh Gangwar and Minister of State for Housing & Urban Affairs Hardeep Puri. The Panel will also include Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal and Nitin Gadkari.
