PM Modi to Distribute Over 51,000 Government Appointment Letters at 20th Rozgar Mela on 19 September

With the 20th edition of the Rozgar Mela, the total number of youth receiving appointment letters through the programme is expected to reach approximately 12.75 lakh across different government departments and public organisations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth joining various government organisations during the 20th Rozgar Mela on 19 September 2026 at 12:30 PM through video conferencing. The Prime Minister will also address the newly appointed candidates during the programme.

The Rozgar Mela will be organised simultaneously at 45 locations across India, connecting thousands of newly selected candidates from different parts of the country. The recruits will join various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Ministry of Defence, among others.

The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing effort to accelerate recruitment, expand employment opportunities and bring more young professionals into public service. The Rozgar Mela platform has been used to provide appointment letters to candidates selected through various recruitment processes across central government departments and organisations.
