The Territorial Army, in collaboration with CyberPeace, has launched Terrier Cyber Quest 2026 (TCQ 3.0), a national-level hackathon aimed at developing indigenous solutions for emerging defence, cybersecurity and information-domain challenges.
The third edition will bring together participants from academia, industry, research institutions, government organisations, the Armed Forces and the wider technology community. The competition will focus on areas such as artificial intelligence, cyber defence, threat detection and digital awareness.
TCQ 3.0 will feature three competition tracks. Bug Hunting will begin with an online Capture-the-Flag qualifier before moving to a live sandbox finale, where participants will identify vulnerabilities in simulated critical infrastructure. AI Kavach will focus on AI and machine-learning solutions for predictive threat intelligence, anomaly detection and automated defence. The Creators Challenge will seek digital campaigns that raise awareness about deepfakes, phishing, online scams and misinformation.
Registrations will remain open until 31 August 2026. Online shortlisting will take place from 1 to 10 September, while the Grand Finale will be held in New Delhi from 6 to 8 October 2026. The award ceremony is scheduled for 9 October 2026.
The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s growing emphasis on harnessing civilian technical expertise and indigenous innovation to address rapidly evolving cyber and information-security threats.
