Hours before the crucial meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese premier Xi Jinping, India Today TV has uncovered propaganda run by Pakistan on social media against PM Modi.
A hashtag #Modigoback was trending on Friday morning. Government sources have informed India Today TV that Twitter handles responsible for trending #Modigoback on the social media platform have been traced and most of them originate from Pakistan.
The sources in the government have shared a list of 25 Twitter handles that have posted about India’s activities in Kashmir using hashtag #Modigoback.
Since morning, these Pak-based Twitter handles have been frequently tweeting anti-India rhetoric using the hashtag.
The tweets were sent out ahead of the Modi-Xi meeting in Mamallapuram near Chennai later in the day.
Some of the propaganda tweets shared by these handles were also in Chinese.
