Panaji: The Indian Navy will carry out firing drills of the coastal defence weapons on February 11 and has warned merchant vessels, pleasure craft and fishing vessels to stay clear of the area 15 nautical miles off Mormugao from 9am to 1pm.
The Naval coast battery at Sada will carry out practice firing of the 105mm light field guns and anti-air guns from Headland Sada on February 11, Indian Navy said in a statement. The firing is part of the quarterly drills that the Indian Navy conducts for its personnel.
“The danger zone lies within an area bounded by 220 to 260 degrees from Mormugao Headland flag staff position up to a distance of 15 nautical miles into the sea and up to a height of 7,100m,” said the Navy.
