Amid the political stir in India, an American expert has given a big warning. Dr. Peter Chalk, US expert on terrorism and internal security matters, said here that Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is plotting to recruit jihadis and conduct terror attacks in Kashmir using social media. He is plotting to carry out a big terrorist attack soon. ISI can support terrorist activities with secret signals and online mapping facility on social media. Pakistan can also use social media to attack the Indian economy.
In the second KPS Gill Memorial Lecture at the Indian School of Business in Mohali, Dr. Peter Chalk said in a lecture on ‘Digitized Hate: Online Radicalism, Violent Extremism, and Terrorism’ that anti-India parties in Kashmir Pakistan has a long history of giving. Allies and neighboring countries need to work together to deal with this. Other countries need to understand that Pakistan itself has suffered the terrorist attacks of Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Dr. Chalk accepted the talk of America’s double policy on the neighboring country of Pakistan. He said that the US adopts a dual policy regarding Pakistan for its strategic interests in Afghanistan. This is why the US does not take a strict stand against Pakistan on the issue of terrorism.
