Mineral Production During March 2020

The index of mineral production of mining and quarrying sector for the month of March, 2020 (Base: 2011-12=100) at 132.7, was exactly the same as compared to the level in the month of March, 2019. The cumulative growth for the period April- March, 2019-20 over the corresponding period of previous year has been (+) 1.7 percent. It is released by Mining & Mineral Statistics Division of Indian Bureau of Mines.

CSIR Lab to Reach Out North-East Villages Through Entrepreneurship Drive

North-East Institute of Science and Technology (NEIST) will make all possible efforts to reach out to about 500 villages of north-east India through its various entrepreneurship and skill development programmes in the aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic. This information has been given by Dr. G Narahari Sastry, Director of the institute. He was addressing the CSIR-NEIST fraternity on the occasion of the National Technology Day through e-mode.
