Voltas Completes the Namami Gange Sewage Treatment Plants Project in Bihar

Voltas has completed two sewage treatment plants (STP) in Bihar by Namami Gange (NMCG), funded by the World Bank. The two projects ensure proper treatment of household sewerage to prevent flowing of untreated sewage to river Ganga. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to virtually inaugurate both these Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO) STP projects in Karmalichak and Beur on September 15.

National Fisheries Policy (2020)

Government has decided for introducing a comprehensive and integrated ‘National Fisheries Policy, 2020’ by integrating the National Policy on Marine Fisheries, 2017 (NPMF), the Draft National Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture Policy (NIFAP) and the Draft National Mariculture Policy (NMP) along with the elements of Post Harvest.

Indian Customers Increasingly Prefer Smart Device Ecosystem: Study

A new study has highlighted that users are moving beyond smartphones to explore higher technology spaces like smart TVs, watches, hearables, and home appliances. Though smartphones continue to be the ‘hub of being smart’, close to 52 per cent consumers are aspiring to buy a smart TV as OTT viewership skyrockets, 36 per cent want a smart watch/speaker, and 31 per cent are vying for smart home appliances, according to a survey report by research arm by techARC.

India Covid Stimulus Report Card: 25k Crore Disbursed to Farmers, Rs 1.63 Lakh Crore to MSMEs

The ministry said out of the allocated Rs 30,000 crore of Additional Emergency Working Capital Funding for farmers through NABARD, Rs. 25,000 crore has been disbursed while the balance of Rs 5,000 crore under Special Liquidity Facility (SLF) is allocated to NABARD by RBI for smaller NBFCs and NBFC-MFIs. NABARD is finalising operational guidelines to roll it out soon.
