Deepak nitrite and its wholly-owned subsidiary Deepak Phenolics has started manufacturing phenol and acetone with the average capacity utilisation of around 80 per cent. After the new plant’s installation, the imports have gone down and 80 percent of nation’s phenol availability is met by the local manufacturer instead of through imports.
The OIL’s call for bids follows state run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’ (ONGC) tender seeking partners for its 64 discovered small and marginal fields to enhance production on Friday.
“As per the memorandum of understanding signed between the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited and Japanese side, in order to promote ‘Make in India’, 06 out of above 24 train sets are presently planned for assembling in India, for which location is planned to be decided by the Japanese supplier,” Goyal said.
The announcement comes against the backdrop of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government running the world’s largest renewable energy programme and plans to achieve 175GW of renewable energy capacity by 2022 as part of its climate commitments. India currently has an installed renewable energy capacity of around 80 gigawatts.
The solar farm will be developed in Sirsa district, on a stretch of 600 acres of land which is well situated for grid stability and to achieve high solar power generation.
Both the Niti Aayog, which advises the government on economic policy, and the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), which is tasked with special projects by the top echelons of the government, have recommended a restructuring of the defence ministry to promote Make in India.
He said Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and J&K do not have any N-plant. Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana (GHAVP) will be the first-ever N-plant among the five states. The plant in Haryana “will be up and running in 2 to 3 years” and provide cheap electricity to northern cities. GHAVP, which will have two units of 700MW capacity each, will cost Rs 20,594 crore. The plant, for which land acquisition is complete, will provide employment to 2,000 people.
India has made utilisation of thorium for large-scale energy production a major goal in its nuclear power programme. The country has successfully developed a thorium fuel cycle at the nuclear power plant in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu.
Besides Bellatrix and Kawa, seven space technology companies in India are funded, according to startup data tracker Tracxn and interviews with investors.
The project to be constructed under the Public Private Partnership model is expected to cost Rs 700 crore.
