New Notary Portal Launched to Make Appointment of Notaries  Seamless, Efficient and Transparent

The Notary Portal provides an online interface between the notaries and the Government for various services like submission of applications for appointment as notaries, issuance and renewal of Certificates of Practice, change of practice area, submission of annual returns, etc.  With the launch of the Notary Portal, the Central Notaries will not be required to submit applications/ requests in physical mode.  They can submit applications online; monitor its progress; and download digitally signed Certificates of Practice from their digilocker accounts.

 As part of the ‘eShram – One Stop Solution’ project, Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) has been working to integrate major schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM-SVANidhi), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G), Ration Card scheme etc. for the benefit of the unorganised workers.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar – The Era of Uninterrupted Dialogue with Pakistan was Over,

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday said the days of uninterrupted dialogue with Pakistan are over and underlined India’s policy of not engaging with Pakistan until it takes sustained and irreversible action against terrorism. Interestingly, Jaishankar also said India is not passive on the Pakistan issue and will respond accordingly to any positive or negative developments in the relationship.

India Suspends Tourist Visas Issued to Chinese Nationals: IATA

India has suspended tourist visas issued to Chinese nationals, global airlines body IATA told its member carriers on April 20. India has been raising with China the plight of approximately 22,000 Indian students enrolled in Chinese universities who are unable to go back for physical classes. However, the neighbouring country has till date refused to let them enter.
