Under the agreement, India and the US will continue to offer capacity building assistance to partner countries in multiple sectors, focusing primarily on agriculture, regional connectivity, trade and investments, nutrition, health, clean and renewable energy, women empowerment, disaster preparedness, water, sanitation, education, and institution building, the agency said.
While addressing a conference ‘Multipolarism in Asia: Issues and Challenges’, Vikram Doraiswami, joint secretary, MEA stated that this is aimed to strengthen inland waterway routes between the two countries, Bangladesh and India.
Noting that initiatives like ‘Make in India’, ‘Digital India’ and ‘Start-up India’ provide new business prospects, he said India and Croatia are keen to deepen their relations, particularly on the economic side.
