India-South Korea Defence Engagements Made Immense Progress : Rajnath

“Defence engagements between India & RoK have made immense progress in the recent years. India’s Indo-Pacific vision shares many commonalities with RoK’s New Southern Policy. India to have 10 more Defence Attaches in 10 Countries

Singh explained that India cannot restrict its defence cooperation to a few countries. He thereafter announced the creation of 10 new defence wings so that 10 more defence attaches could be appointed. “This will further strengthen India’s defence diplomacy,” he said, addressing the third Defence Attaches conference here.

INS Airavat Providing Humantarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Madagascar

Whilst mission deployed in the Southern Indian Ocean, Indian Naval Ship Airavat was diverted on 26 January 2020 to render assistance to the citizens of Madagascar who have been affected by the devastation caused by Cyclone Diane. Airavat is undertaking this Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission as part of ‘Operation Vanilla’ launched by the Indian Navy, which is the first international respondent to this evolving humanitarian crisis in Madagascar.
