As per the officer, fake videos or those voicing incinerating appeals to people of Kashmir, Op-eds and editorials getting pushed through Twitter handles and Facebook accounts is a part of this strategy along with impersonating Indian Army officers online. The veterans have been appealed to help the Army by using their social media influence to reach out to their followers and dispel such fake information online.

“The programme will be implemented in partnership with the Director-General of Resettlement and the Army Welfare Placement Organisation,” Amazon India said in a statement here on Monday. Indian Army General Completes 1,200-km France Cycle Race

Lt Gen Puri, 56, completed the circuit on Thursday by cycling non-stop for around 90 hours from Rambouillet on the outskirts of Paris to the Brest military port on France’s western tip and back. Of the 367 participants from India, only around 80 could successfully complete the arduous trek while the rest dropped out midway. There were a total of 6,500 participants at the event from as many as 60 countries.

Developed by Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (VRDE), a laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the ATV can carry three combatants equipped for operations.The vehicle, weighing around three tonnes provides all-round protection from small arms and hand grenades. It can move around in a hostile environment especially in buildings, small gullies and constrained spaces of hideouts providing an edge to thwart attacks.
