US Approves Sale of USD 90 Million Worth of Military Equipment and Services to India

Among the requests made by India include aircraft consumables spares and repair/return parts; Cartridge Actuated Devices/Propellant Actuated Devices (CAD/PAD) fire extinguisher cartridges; flare cartridges; Advanced Radar Warning Receiver shipset; 10 Lightweight Night Vision Binocular; 10 AN/AVS-9 Night Vision Goggle; GPS; Electronic Warfare; instruments and lab equipment support. The estimated total amount is USD 90 million.

NEERI Develops Eco-friendly Phytorid Technology Sewage Treatment Plant

A Niti Aayog report states that 21 major cities in India (including New Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad) are all set to run out of groundwater. India’s per capita water availability is expected to further decline to 1465 cubic metre by 2025. By 2030, the country’s water demand is projected to be twice the available supply, implying severe water scarcity for hundreds of millions of people.

National Highway Projects worth INR. 11,711 Cr Approved in Last 6 Years in Nagaland

Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and MSMEs Shri Nitin Gadkari virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 15 National Highways projects in Nagaland today. Chief Minister Shri Nephi Rio, MoS-RTH Gen (Dr) V K Singh, MPs, MLAs, senior officers from Centre and the State were present on the occassion. *These NH Projects has a length of about 266 KM involving cost of about Rs 4127 crore.*
