Ka-226T Utility Helicopter has 33% Indigenous Content: HAL

The total indigenous content of the Ka-226T utility helicopters, to be jointly manufactured locally by India and Russia with Transfer of Technology (ToT), is between 27%-33%, said Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) R. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Saturday said that India is working to develop seven more COVID-19 vaccines. This would be in addition to Covishield—AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine developed by the University of Oxford—and Covaxin—India’s first indigenous COVID-19 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with ICMR—already being used to inoculate frontline workers.

Lockheed Martin Inks Pact with HAL for Collaboration in India’s Aerospace Sector

US defence major Lockheed Martin on Friday said it signed an agreement with state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited NSE 3.79 % (HAL) to explore potential industrial collaboration in India’s aerospace sector. First Women Team Inducted into CRPF’s CoBRA Commando Unit

A maiden contingent of 34 CRPF women personnel was on Saturday inducted into its specialised jungle warfare commando force CoBRA, which will soon be deployed in the anti-Naxal operations grid of the country. The Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) was raised under the CRPF in 2009 for undertaking intelligence-based jungle warfare operations. It has been an all-male affair for this unit till now.
