Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)-Delhi receives research funding from National Super Computing Mission (NSM) under HPC Applications to work on the project titled ‘Orbit computation of Resident Space Objects for Space Situational Awareness’ for two years. The NSM project has been implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeITy) to ensure the country’s leadership in supercomputing.
This device, which was developed by one Colonel Kuldeep Yadav of Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) at Secunderabad, has been tested in three army vehicles for three months. Lt General TSA Narayanan, Commandant at MCEME said the trial run has been very successful and this month they handed over one device to the Telangana government for trial on commercial vehicles.
The IAF is also looking to lease Basic Trainer Aircraft (BTA) to fill the immediate shortage for training rookie pilots. The public sector bank (PSB) in an update has said that it has come across reports, wherein cybercriminals are reported to have created online fixed deposits in customers’ accounts in an attempt to carry out social engineering frauds. The State Bank of India has advised its customers to control access to their account by not sharing personal details like password/ OTP/ CVV/ Card Number etc. with anyone. It said that the bank would never ask for these details over phone or email or SMS.
