Shri Pandeyinformed that the Rabi season 2021-22 has already started in the States of MP and Rajasthan from 15th March 2021, in Haryana & Delhi w.e.f. 1st April 2021, in Punjab w.e.f. 10th April and in Bihar, it will commence from 20th April 2021.Shri Pandey informed that FCI and State agencies will be operating more than 19,000 centers across the country during ongoing RMS 2021-22.

The study has been carried out by a team of researchers led byan alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad, Dr Brince Paul. As a postdoctoral researcher, he conducted this study in the Écolepoly technique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. The study was conducted in collaboration with the Swiss Olympic Medical Center. This study has been published in advanced material technologies journals.

Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) had constituted the National Startup Advisory Council to advise the Government on measures needed to build a strong ecosystem for nurturing innovation and startups in the country to drive sustainable economic growth and generate large scale employment opportunities.

Critical trials ahead for indigenous Advanced Light Helicopter

A crucial trial of the folding tail boom – the aft section of the chopper – is planned by next month to demonstrate that the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) can easily fit into hangars and heli-decks of frontline warships, people familiar with the development told ET. The first ALH with a modified tail section as per the navy’s specifications is ready and is expected to fly within a month as part of the developmental tests, they said.

Armed Forces to Deploy 5G Network for AI, Unmanned Vehicles

“Armed forces also will need to migrate to 5G network considering the use of unmanned vehicles and AI in future,” Ajay Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Defence told ETTelecom, adding that, “the ministry will take necessary steps to take forward 5G connectivity with relevant use cases.”

Approvals Accorded under PLI Scheme for Domestic Manufacturing of critical Key KSMs/ Drug Intermediates and APIs

Approvals have been accorded to 16 applicants under Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Promotion of Domestic Manufacturing of critical Key Starting Materials (KSMs)/ Drug Intermediates and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) in the country. The setting up of these 16 plants will lead to total committed investment of Rs. 348.70 crore (US$ 46.39 million) and employment generation of about 3,042 by the companies. The commercial production of these plants is projected to commence from 1st April 2023 onward.
