Prime Minister to Formally Handover DRDO Designed and Developed Advanced Electronic Warfare Suite ‘Shakti’ for Indian Naval Ships to Chief of Naval Staff

The system has been integrated with the wideband Electronic Support Measures (ESM) and Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) for the defence of Indian Navy Ships against missile attacks.  The ESM of the system helps in finding accurate direction and interception of modern radars. The system has a built-in radar fingerprinting and data recording replay feature for post-mission analysis.

For 1st Time, Number of Fully Jabbed Surpasses Partially Vaccinated

As of Tuesday night, of the 755.4 million people who have received at least one shot of the Covid-19 vaccine in India, 380.7 million people are fully vaccinated (have received both shots) and another 374.7 million have received only one shot, according to data from the CoWIN dashboard. When seen alongside India’s estimated population of 940 million adults, this means that 40.3% of the country’s adults have been fully vaccinated while another 40.2% have been given a single jab so far.

If the acquisition is approved at the slated meeting led by the Defence Secretary, the decision will be further moved to the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) for final approval by the defence ministry, and then to the Cabinet Committee on Security for final approval before the contract is signed. According to ANI sources, India and the US have been discussing the deal for more than two years and it is now in the last stages of being approved by the government.
