Adani Enterprises Limited and US-based Jabil Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a 50:50 joint venture for manufacturing artificial intelligence (AI) and data centre hardware in India. Announced on October 13, 2026, the partnership aims to create a large-scale manufacturing platform for AI servers, computing infrastructure, networking equipment and advanced data centre systems.
The proposed venture will combine Adani Group’s capabilities in energy, infrastructure and data centres with Jabil’s global expertise in electronics engineering and manufacturing. The companies aim to develop India into a major manufacturing centre for AI infrastructure serving domestic and international markets.
Adani and Jabil to Manufacture Advanced AI Computing Hardware
The proposed joint venture will manufacture and assemble a broad range of hardware required for modern AI data centres. Its product portfolio will include AI racks, high-performance servers, storage systems and networking equipment that support large-scale computing operations.
The companies also plan to manufacture critical supporting equipment, including power distribution units, liquid-cooling systems and transformers. These components are essential for operating high-density computing facilities that require reliable electricity supplies and advanced temperature management.
The venture aims to establish multi-gigawatt AI rack manufacturing capacity, enabling the production of infrastructure supporting computing systems with a combined power capacity of several gigawatts. It will also provide installation and commissioning services.
The agreement builds on the strategic alliance announced by Adani Group and Jabil in June 2026 to develop an integrated AI infrastructure manufacturing ecosystem in India.
India Could Reach 5–8 GW of Data Centre Capacity by 2030
According to the companies’ announcement, India’s data centre capacity is projected to reach 5–8 gigawatts by 2030, supported by growing adoption of artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data localisation.
The companies cited industry projections indicating more than US$50 billion in planned hyperscaler spending across India’s data centre, cloud computing and AI ecosystems.
Hyperscalers are large technology companies that operate extensive computing infrastructure to support cloud services, digital applications and artificial intelligence.
The proposed manufacturing venture aims to serve these companies alongside emerging AI cloud providers, data centre operators and enterprises.
Adani and Jabil also estimate that global investment in AI computing infrastructure could create a market opportunity exceeding US$3 trillion over the next seven years.
Adani’s US$100 Billion AI Infrastructure Investment Plans
The joint venture aligns with Adani Group’s previously announced US$100 billion commitment to develop 5 GW of green-energy-powered, hyperscale AI-ready data centres by 2035.
The proposed manufacturing partnership would extend Adani’s involvement in AI infrastructure from providing electricity and operating data centres to producing the hardware installed within these facilities.
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani highlighted the importance of integrating energy, computing infrastructure and precision manufacturing to support the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence industry.
The venture brings together Adani’s infrastructure and energy capabilities with Jabil’s manufacturing technologies, creating opportunities to develop an integrated domestic supply chain for advanced computing equipment.
Jabil Brings Global Electronics Manufacturing Expertise
Jabil, headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, is a global engineering, supply chain and manufacturing company with approximately six decades of experience.
The company reported revenue of US$36 billion for the financial year 2026 and has expanded its capabilities in specialised data centre technologies.
Its acquisition of Hanley Energy Group strengthened its expertise in critical power infrastructure and energy management systems, while the acquisition of Mikros Technologies expanded its capabilities in liquid-cooling solutions for high-performance computing equipment.
Jabil Chief Executive Officer Mike Dastoor described the agreement as another step towards establishing a large-scale AI infrastructure manufacturing platform in India.
The company expects the proposed venture to support growing demand for data centre equipment in India while creating opportunities to supply international customers.
Joint Venture to Support Make in India and Technology Manufacturing
The partnership represents an opportunity to strengthen India’s domestic manufacturing capabilities in advanced electronics and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Manufacturing AI servers, networking equipment, power systems and cooling technologies in India can help establish specialised supply chains and expand the country’s participation in global technology manufacturing.
The venture also supports India’s ambition to become a production and export centre for advanced computing infrastructure.
The companies intend to serve domestic customers while supplying AI hardware to international hyperscalers, cloud operators and enterprise customers.
India Moves Towards Large-Scale AI Infrastructure Manufacturing
The October 13 agreement marks an important development in the partnership between Adani Enterprises and Jabil. The companies have signed a non-binding MoU outlining their proposed 50:50 joint venture, with its establishment subject to definitive agreements and applicable approvals.
The collaboration brings together infrastructure development, energy management, electronics manufacturing and advanced computing technologies within a proposed Indian manufacturing platform.
By combining Adani’s integrated infrastructure capabilities with Jabil’s global manufacturing expertise, the partnership could strengthen India’s position as a production centre for AI servers, data centre hardware and next-generation computing infrastructure.
