Utthita Parsvakonasana or Extended Side Angle Pose is an asana in modern yoga. It involves using many essential muscle groups: legs, ankles, groin, chest, lungs, shoulders, spine, and the abdomen.

Utthita – Extended, Parsva – Side, Kona – Angle, Asana – Posture;

This asana helps to stretch those parts of the body that do not usually get extended. It is a beginner’s pose that helps you get accustomed to the stretching and contouring of the body that yoga entails
