NTA Opens Official WhatsApp Channel for NEET-UG Re-Examination Candidates

The agency has clarified that official WhatsApp communication will be sent only through its verified account bearing the number +91 78 27 98 02 87. Candidates have been advised to check for the blue verification tick and the account name “National Testing Agency” before trusting any message claiming to be from NTA.

The National Testing Agency has introduced an official WhatsApp communication channel for candidates appearing in the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for 21 June. The move is aimed at giving students a direct, verified and reliable channel for important exam-related updates.

The agency has clarified that official WhatsApp communication will be sent only through its verified account bearing the number +91 78 27 98 02 87. Candidates have been advised to check for the blue verification tick and the account name “National Testing Agency” before trusting any message claiming to be from NTA.

This step is especially important because competitive examination candidates often face confusion due to fake messages, forwarded claims and unofficial social media updates. By using a verified WhatsApp channel, the agency is trying to ensure that important instructions reach students quickly and safely.

The communication is mainly being sent to candidates who have not yet downloaded their new admit cards for the re-examination. Students who have already downloaded their admit cards for the 21 June re-examination do not need to download them again.

The agency has also clarified that admit cards issued for the 3 May examination will not be valid for the re-examination. Many candidates have been allotted new centres in their preferred cities, making the fresh admit card necessary for entry into the exam centre.

Candidates should therefore rely only on the latest admit card issued for the re-examination. They should verify their exam centre, reporting time, roll number, instructions and identity-document requirements carefully before exam day.

The launch of the WhatsApp channel adds another layer of communication alongside SMS and email alerts. This is expected to help candidates who may have missed earlier messages or who have not yet completed the admit-card download process.

Students appearing for the NEET-UG re-examination should remain alert, avoid unofficial links and verify every instruction through official channels. With the re-examination approaching, timely access to authentic information will be crucial for a smooth and confusion-free exam process.
