Gomukhasana | Cow Face Yoga Pose

The Gomukhasana (Cow Face Yoga Pose) posture looks like the face of a cow from above as the feet resemble the horns and knees resemble the mouth. Place both feet on the ground, putting them on either side of the bottom, and hold the body erect. Raise the arm and bend the elbow and interlock with other arm at the back.

Gomukhasana is a seated yoga posture that stretches several parts of the body simultaneously, including the ankles, hips, thighs, shoulders, underarms, triceps and chest. The name comes from the Sanskrit go, meaning “cow,” mukha, meaning “face,” and asana, meaning “pose.”
