Three Indian Women-Led Startups Win Asia Tracks at TiE Women Summit 2026

Three Indian women-led startups working across medical technology, AI-enabled healthcare and dairy technology have emerged as track winners at the TiE Women Asia Summit 2026 in Hyderabad, earning places at the TiE Women Global Finals scheduled during the TiE Global Summit in Indore later this year.

The Indian winners are Dr Krupa Shah of Intentio Biopsy Device, Divya Balaji Kamerkar of Pinky Promise, and Dr Ankita Singh of MooRopan India. They were selected from founders representing TiE chapters across Asia, Africa and the Middle East during the Asia-level pitch competition held in Hyderabad on September 26.

The results place three Indian startups working in specialised technology-driven sectors on the global TiE Women platform, highlighting the growing role of women founders in India’s medical device, digital health and agricultural technology ecosystems.

TiE Women Asia Summit Brings Regional Founders to Hyderabad

The TiE Women Asia Summit 2026 was hosted by TiE Hyderabad from September 24 to 26 as a regional platform for women entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and startup ecosystem leaders.

According to TiE Hyderabad, the three-day programme combined entrepreneurship development sessions, cross-border networking, investor engagement and a competitive pitch programme for chapter winners from across the region.

The Asia pitch competition was held on September 26, with selected founders competing for advancement to the TiE Women Global Finals.

TiE Women had earlier identified the participating founders as chapter winners from their respective TiE ecosystems, including Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Vadodara.

Krupa Shah Wins With Sensor-Assisted i-Bone Biopsy Device

Dr Krupa Shah, co-founder and CTO of Intentio Biopsy Device, represented TiE Ahmedabad after winning the chapter-level TiE Women competition earlier in September.

Her startup is developing i-Bone, a sensor-assisted bone biopsy device intended to improve precision and control during bone biopsy procedures.

The device combines engineering and medical technology in an area where accurate needle placement and tissue acquisition are important for diagnosis.

Intentio Biopsy Device had already won the TiE Ahmedabad Women 2026 competition before advancing to the Asia-level event in Hyderabad.

At the Asia Finals, Shah secured Track 1, taking the medical technology startup to the next stage of the global TiE Women competition.

Intentio Targets Greater Precision in Bone Biopsy

Bone biopsy is used when physicians need a tissue sample for diagnosing conditions affecting bone, including suspected tumours and certain infections.

Intentio’s approach focuses on providing additional sensing capability during the procedure rather than relying entirely on conventional mechanical biopsy instruments.

The company describes its work as lying at the intersection of healthcare and engineering, with the objective of developing a smarter point-of-care biopsy system.

The technology reflects a wider expansion of India’s medical-device startup ecosystem, where companies are increasingly developing specialised diagnostic and interventional devices rather than concentrating only on digital healthcare services.

Pinky Promise Wins AI Healthcare Track

Divya Balaji Kamerkar, co-founder and CEO of Pinky Promise, represented TiE Mumbai and won the third track at the Asia-level competition.

Pinky Promise operates in the women’s healthcare and digital-health sector, using artificial intelligence to provide users with health information and facilitate access to appropriate care.

The platform focuses particularly on gynaecological and reproductive-health questions, areas where access to timely medical guidance can remain uneven.

Its approach combines an AI-enabled digital interface with pathways to in-person healthcare support where further medical attention is required.

The startup’s selection highlights the growing use of AI in women’s healthcare in India, particularly in services aimed at improving early access to information and reducing barriers around sensitive health concerns.

AI Increasingly Moving Into Specialised Healthcare

Artificial intelligence is becoming more prominent across Indian healthcare startups, but much of the newer activity is moving beyond general-purpose health information towards specialised clinical areas.

Women’s health represents one such area because symptoms involving menstrual health, reproductive care and gynaecological conditions are often underreported or addressed late.

Digital platforms can provide an initial point of engagement, although they do not replace examination or diagnosis by qualified healthcare professionals.

The third Indian winner, Dr Ankita Singh, is the founder of MooRopan India, a dairy-technology company developing products for livestock health, farm management and feed preservation.

MooRopan represented TiE Vadodara at the Asia Summit and won Track 4.

The company’s portfolio includes MastiSense, a device developed to support early detection of bovine mastitis, and SiloRopan, a bacterial culture intended to improve silage fermentation and nutrient preservation.

MooRopan says its broader mission is to combine artificial intelligence, IoT and biotechnology with practical dairy-farm applications.

MastiSense Targets Early Mastitis Detection

Mastitis is one of the most important health problems affecting dairy cattle and can reduce milk quality and productivity while increasing treatment costs for farmers.

MooRopan’s MastiSense is designed to help identify the condition at an earlier stage through milk testing.

Early detection can allow farmers and veterinarians to investigate suspected cases sooner and take appropriate action before the condition progresses further.

The product reflects a growing trend within Indian agritech in which relatively affordable sensing and diagnostic tools are being developed specifically for small and medium dairy farms.

SiloRopan Focuses on Better Feed Preservation

MooRopan’s second major product, SiloRopan, addresses another important part of dairy farming: preservation of animal feed.

Silage allows green fodder to be preserved through controlled fermentation so that it can be stored and used when fresh fodder is unavailable.

The company describes SiloRopan as a scientifically formulated bacterial culture designed to support better fermentation and nutrient retention.

Improved feed preservation can have a direct impact on livestock productivity because inconsistent feed quality remains a significant challenge for many dairy farmers.

Three Startups Represent Different Faces of Indian Deep-Tech Innovation

Although Intentio Biopsy Device, Pinky Promise and MooRopan operate in very different sectors, all three reflect a broader shift in the Indian startup ecosystem towards specialised problem-solving.

Intentio is working on a medical device, Pinky Promise is applying artificial intelligence to healthcare access, while MooRopan is combining dairy technology, biotechnology and sensing systems.

These are different from conventional consumer-internet startup models because their growth depends significantly on domain knowledge, engineering or scientific development.

Their advancement through TiE Women also gives the companies access to a wider international network of mentors, investors and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
