MOIL Limited reported strong financial and operational performance during the first quarter of FY 2026–27, with profit after tax rising 70% year-on-year to ₹87.62 crore.
The company’s profit before tax increased 75% to ₹111.62 crore during the April–June quarter, compared with ₹63.82 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
Revenue from operations grew 7% to ₹370.88 crore from ₹348.06 crore, while total revenue increased 6% to ₹391.13 crore from ₹370.52 crore.
MOIL also recorded an improvement in price realisation. Its net sales realisation rose 10% to ₹9,749 per metric tonne, compared with ₹8,884 per metric tonne during Q1 FY 2025–26.
The company produced 5,07,605 metric tonnes of manganese ore during the quarter, registering a 1% increase over the 5,02,260 metric tonnes produced in the same period last year.
Manganese ore sales grew at a faster pace, rising 4% to 3,69,049 metric tonnes from 3,56,196 metric tonnes in the corresponding quarter of FY 2025–26.
MOIL attributed the performance to operational discipline, improved efficiency and the efforts of its workforce. The company said it would continue working towards higher production, stronger operational efficiency and meeting the expanding manganese ore requirements of India’s domestic steel industry.
MOIL Limited is a Schedule ‘A’ Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel. It is India’s largest manganese ore producer and operates underground and open-cast mines in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
